Calling all theatre bloggers

Are you passionate about theatre? Do you review and/or write about it? Maybe have a penchant for gin?.. then listen up.

I have been a member of the #LDNTheatreBloggers for nearly 10 months now. Gosh time flies. It’s a fantastic networking platform for fellow, like-minded theatre goers who enjoy writing and blogging about.. well, theatre.

We each offer support, encouragement, the sharing of a passion and a familiar face at the theatre. It makes the social aspect of going to the theatre all that more enjoyable by sharing a cheeky tipple or bite to eat with my fellow bloggers before a show as opposed to loitering around the foyer on my lonesome. It’s been a fundamental part of my blogger-growth, starting from a little blogger fledgling into a growing, better developed blogger and quite frankly during harder times, they’ve kept me going.

It was originally set up by the brilliant Rebecca Felgate from Official Theatre who has coordinated the group and hosted some absolutely fantastic events at the Soho Grind and Planet Hollywood, and not to mention the many opportunities to see some of the newest shows in London in return for reviews. These great meet-ups offer a chance to not only catch up with each other but to put faces to twitter handles and enhance this fabulous community.

With the sad (but exciting) news that The Felgate is moving across the pond to Toronto *sniff*, the #LDNTheatreBloggers plans to be bigger and better than ever with the launch of TheatreBloggers.co.uk

Rebecca has joined forces with theatre blogger aficionados – West End Wilma and Theatre South East – to take over the whole of the country uniting theatre bloggers alike.  As well as expand the London presence, they are looking to find bloggers and venues in areas outside of the capital.

So, if that’s you then check out the site at TheatreBloggers.co.uk and do get in touch. We’re a friendly, fabulous bunch and looking forward to a bright future ahead.

Also you can follow them on Twitter @theatreblogs
